Polokwane Municipality is strengthening its efforts to improve service delivery by placing performance, professionalism and accountability at the centre of its work.

Executive Mayor Councillor Makoro John Mpe says the municipality and its entity, the Polokwane Housing Association, are working to build a stronger culture of performance.

Mpe says municipal professionals must remain focused on their responsibilities, with their work ultimately measured by the results they deliver to residents.

He says the municipality is committed to ensuring that employees understand the importance of performance and accountability in improving services.

Mpe has also praised the municipality’s management for submitting its Annual Financial Statements on time.

He says the timely submission demonstrates discipline, compliance and a commitment to good governance.

The mayor says these efforts form part of the municipality’s broader focus on strengthening its capacity to deliver services effectively and responsibly to the people of Polokwane.
