A family in Mamelodi West, Tshwane, is mourning the loss of 14 year old twins, Bonolo and Bohlale Makena, who were allegedly killed in their home on Friday.
According to their mother, Merriam Makgopa Makena(47) , the twins were attacked in the kitchen before their bodies were placed on a bed.
She discovered their bodies when she returned home from work. They had sustained multiple stab wounds and were found lying on a bed.
Makena said she suspects two people were involved in the killings and claimed that three cell phones were stolen from the house during the incident.
The grieving family described the scene as horrific and said they are struggling to come to terms with the tragedy. The twins’ grandmother said the family is heartbroken and wants justice for the children.
Police have opened a murder investigation after the boys were found with multiple stab wounds. No arrests have been made, and the motive for the killings remains unknown.
