Former Bafana Bafana analyst, Sinesipho Mali has claimed that he is still waiting to receive his World Cup bonus, with no explanation from the South African Football Association (SAFA).
Mali raised the issue on social media, saying that those affected have received no direct communication about their bonuses. “No explanation. We receive the news like everybody else, public statements but no letter or message about our bonuses,” Mali wrote on X.
His comments have raised further questions about the payment of bonuses to members of the Bafana Bafana technical and support staff. Mali was part of the National Team setup and is now calling for clarity from SAFA about the outstanding payment.
The claim comes at a time when SAFA is under renewed attention following its recent presidential election, where Danny Jordaan was re-elected for another four-year term.For now, it stays unclear about when Mali and others who may be affected will receive their outstanding bonuses.
SAFA has yet to provide a public explanation regarding Mali’s specific claim.
