Danny Jordaan has been re-elected as president of the South African Football Association (SAFA) after defeating challenger Sandile Zungu at the organisation’s elective congress in Midrand on Saturday.
Jordaan secured 157 votes, while Zungu received 82, giving him a clear victory and securing his fourth consecutive term as SAFA president.
Zungu entered the election as a strong challenger, campaigning for change and a new direction for South African football. However, Jordaan’s experience and support among SAFA’s voting members proved decisive.
The result means Jordaan will lead SAFA for another four-year term.
