Crime has been a major concern for residents as many people live and work there.
Police officials believe that the new SAPS units will help strengthen crime fighting and improve cooperation between law enforcement agencies.
In a previous event, members of SAPS stood at attention during an Integrated Law Enforcement parade near the Nasrec Expo centre in Johannesburg.
Events like this show the readiness of police officers to protect communities.Authorities say the new units will work with other law enforcement agencies and communities to prevent crime.
Residents are encouraged to work with police and report any criminal activities.
