The young South African attacker joined Union Saint-Gilloise with expectations that he would need time to adjust physically to the demands of Belgian football.

According to comments attributed to Bafana Bafana head coach, Hugo Broos, Mofokeng could need five to six months of physical preparation before becoming fully accustomed to the league.

Broos shown that the player would be placed on a fitness programme designed to help him become stronger and adapt to the physical demands of the game.

However, Mofokeng’s early performances suggest that he is already settling in effectively. The youngster has scored three goals in five league appearances for Union Saint-Gilloise, who are currently leading the league.

His strong start provides an encouraging sign for both his club and South African football.

Mofokeng has already contributed goals at the highest level of his young career. As the season progresses, attention will remain on his physical development and consistency.

His early form could provide valuable experience as he continues his development in European football and gains confidence. South African supporters will also follow his performances.
