The Limpopo Department of Transport and Community Safety advises motorists travelling on the N1 North of traffic delays caused by congestion following a road accident involving three sedan vehicles.
The accident occurred just north of the Kranskop Toll Plaza, between the tollgate and the Engen service station. Preliminary reports indicate that four people sustained injuries, while one fatality has been confirmed.
Law enforcement officers, including the South African Police Service (SAPS), Traffic Police, and Emergency Medical Services, are on the scene managing the incident.

Traffic is moving slowly, with vehicles being diverted onto a single lane of the road under the direction of traffic officers. Motorists are advised that the road may be temporarily closed to allow forensic investigators and emergency personnel to conduct their work safely.
Motorists are urged to exercise patience, obey all instructions from law enforcement officials, and expect delays. The road will be fully reopened once the accident scene has been processed and cleared. The Department conveys its sincere condolences to the family and loved ones of the deceased and wishes those injured a speedy recovery.
