Tsakane, the wife of alleged underworld figure Vusimuzi “Cat” Matlala, has been arrested by the Gauteng Political Killings Task Team.
Her arrest comes after the arrest of Matlala’s close associate. She is the second suspect arrested in connection with an allegedly fraudulent lease agreement.
It is alleged that Tsakane falsified bank statements to help Matlala secure a R95 000 lease agreement in Waterkloof. Matlala allegedly applied for the lease using an eSwatini identity document.
Police said two more arrests are expected as investigations continue.
