The upcoming music video for “Makoti,” set to be released on Tuesday, 10 March 2026, features the UL campus wedding 2.0.
The UL campus wedding 2.0, hosted by the ministerial events, was held at DiJong Lifestyle on Saturday, 21 February 2026.
The day was a beautiful union of Mashego and Locratia.
The themed burghady and cream white wedding highlighted the cultural context of Bapedi wedding celebration through the attire, music, and reception dance.
The Lekompo song titled makoti (lekompo wedding day) by Janesh featuring Hitboss SA, Natiety Lepaka, and IceTee beats was released on 19 September 2025 under the label Janesh Music.
The song’s theme perfectly blended with the ul campus wedding, showcasing the creativity involved in it.
Many social media users praise the hitmakers for their creative work on the video that is posted on both Facebook by Clifford Minister and TikTok by ministerial events.
“Your music video is amazing, Hitboss, Janesh, and Lepaka make a great team”, Errol Lefowa commented on Facebook.
The music video clip sparked excitement amongst the audience. University of Limpopo students who were present at the wedding spotted themselves in the video.
The identified students include Rakgadi wa Maghetto, Twinkie, and the newlyweds. “So when they say ‘makoti’, they’re referring to me?”, Locratia(bride) commented on TikTok.
The music video highlights the cultural way of lekompo wedding celebration as it shows the UL Campus Wedding 2.0 event that represented a beautiful union of two young people its wedding attire that was a mix of modern and cultural style.
