The Lepelle Northern Water has handed over a progress report on fixing Polokwane Water Crisis to Minister Pemmy Majodina, outlining steps in which the issue can be tackled.

Lepelle Northern Water met with the department’s deputy DG and Polokwane Municipality on Friday, aiming to head off potential legal action threatened by the municipality.

Spokesperson Joe Makhafola, says they are keeping the bi- weekly Technical War Room meetings going, under Dr. Phophi Ramathuba’s watch.

Makhafola adds that they’re teaming up with the municipality to create a standard operating procedure for managing water ops together, so everyone’s on the same page.

He adds they are strengthening up data collection and sharing between Lepelle Northern Water and the municipality, so they can manage the system more effectively.

Makhafola says they’re revising the Service Level Agreement by June 30 to include clear targets and fixes, following the meeting’s resolution.
