After nine people were killed and ten injured, police confirmed they are searching for at least 12 gunmen involved.
The incident occurred in a small target at Bekkerdal before 1am on Sunday (23:00 GMT on Saturday).
“It is reported that about 12 unknown suspects in a white kombi [a minibus] and a silver sedan opened fire at tavern patrons and continued to shoot randomly as they fled the scene,” the police said in a statement.
One of the community members stated that this is a common occurrence, as gunshots are heard almost every day and night, and even the younger ones are no longer scared of those sounds. Instead of asking what is happening, they ask in which direction the bullet went.
