Police in Gauteng are investigating a murder case following an incident that happened on Thursday Night, of a taxi association official in Woodmead, Sandton that claimed a life.
The 52-year-old victim was at a parking lot with another individual when two armed males opened fire at around 22h30.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The police believe the killing might be connected to a long term dispute between taxi competing taxi groups in Alexandra.
Gauteng police are asking for the public’s help in catching the suspects.
Police spokesperson Mavela Masondo said they are investigating a possible link to taxi violence, given the victims are taxi owners, but the motive is still unclear.
Anyone with info is urged to come forward.
