Limpopo’s private school transport operators claim that they are not targeting the department of Transport and Community Safety, despite today’s Transport strike.

The operators cite ongoing challenges including alleged abuse of power, harassment and unfair treatment by traffic authorities, as the reason for their protest.

According to the Deputy Chairperson of the Limpopo Scholar transport, Thapedi Kgole, these issues have affected their daily operations.

He then said he questions the impoundment of their vehicles during the 60-day application period for operating licenses, he believes it is senseless. In the meantime, the department of education has denied the claims on social media about a “No school Day”.

The department says that today school should continue as normal.
