Miguel Cardoso, Mamelodi Sundowns coach believes that his team could have finished much more comfortably in yesterday’s match against Orlando Pirates.
Sundowns scored 2-1 victory over Orlando Pirates.
“I think we could have finished this match in a much more comfortable position, third goal is a big mistake from ourselves, but we do not work on mistakes we work to correct them we do not penalise no one we leave them up”. Miguel said.
The coach believes that they always have to be humble in football reflecting that he also comes from a small village in Portugal and they are always humble.
Despite Sundowns winning against Orlando Pirates, he believes that Pirates is a stronger team than MC Alger.
When Miguel was addressing his players during the pre-match and half time he said, “I told my players in the locker room; if you were supposed to play the last game of your lives today, how would you play it?
And at halftime, I told them the same thing ; that if you were have to play the last second half of football in your lives, how would you play it?
And they played like there was no tomorrow” This made the players work hard and earn maximum points.
He also mentioned that no player is guaranteed to play at Sundowns.
