Lerato Kganyago’s sanitary pads brand, flutter by LGK gain popularity as south African women panic after the university of free state study.
According to the UFS study, several brands of sanitary pads and pantyliners sold in south Africa contain endocrine disrupting chemicals.
The chemicals were found in products marketed as being “ free from harmful chemicals “. This shocking discovery has alarmed many girls and women relying on these products on a monthly basis.
The flutter by LGK sanitary pads brand has gained traction in the market and brings hope to girls and women as they are concerned about their health.
The brand was first launched around April 2020, then distributed for free to young women as part of Lerato mission of promoting menstrual dignity.
According to youth village, Lerato also shared that her sanitary pads are now available to over 400 clicks store across the country.
As the demand for clarity in the industry that touches women’s health grows, Phamotse advocates for flutter by LGK sanitary pads on social media. “ I have been using @Leratokganyago pads for two years now and I love them. I have been waiting for tampons, but safety wise, we are good. I felt some relief that I left those brands a while ago”.
According to briefly, social media users are flooding phamotse’ mentions to ask about the availability of pads, as many are looking to switch to them.
