“We can have the ambition to win the CAN,” said Hugo Broos, South Africa’s coach, after their 2-1 victory against Angola.

South Africa showed a positive spirit in securing a hard-fought 2-1 win against Angola—a match that was far from easy for either side.

The game started at a high intensity, with both teams pushing for an early goal. Winger Oswin Appollis came on in the 21st minute and gave Bafana Bafana the lead, finishing a move assisted by Lyle Foster.
Angola equalized from a free kick shortly after, but this only spurred Bafana Bafana to push harder. They eventually claimed the winning goal through Lyle Foster.
