Mamelodi Sundowns will be playing against Saint-Eloi Lupopo for CAF Champions League on Saturday, 22 November 2025 at Loftus Stadium.
Head Coach of Mamelodi Sundowns boldly mentioned that they are ready for the match and to showcase his players’ talents.
He is certain that despite the challenges, they are going to win this game without any fear as they are fully prepared. The coach understands the unique challenge Saint-Eloi is bringing.
“ Most of all, we must understand how to play against this team. It has its particularities, its way of playing, its own characteristics, so that we understand how to exploit their less string thins and how to avoid that they can aggress us with the things that they have as more positive”. He said.
He still remembers what happened to his team when they failed in their opening home fixture.
He said “ We remember very well what happen last year on the first gameof the group stage where Mamelodi Sundowns was not able to beat Maniema at home.
“ We try always and I make a big effort to make players understand that any emotion that you may feel that is not proper to play a football match should be left in the locker room. We want to make a good start.
A good start is on the whistle of the referee and the players that are available and that can start that match will be for sure very, very strong and very powerful on going and pursuing the result we want to get” he concluded.
