Tsotsi’s(thugs) attempted to rob a cash-in-transit van on Thursday, the 13th of November, at Soshanguve Block XX.
This heist attempt was a total fail when the thieves left empty handed because they could not get to the money. A very dramatic videos shows the van stopped on the road with a burning vehicle blocking it’s path.
The suspects are being hunted down as we speak and the Gauteng police spokesman lieutenant- Colonel Mavela Masondo said, “Police are looking for almost 15 armed suspects who tried to rob a cash van in Soshanguve on Thursday.”
He added that the suspects rammed the cash van with a Mercedes-Benz and fired several shots at it, forcing it to stop.
The suspects then boomed the cash van but could not get to the money. Instead, they took the security’s guns,” he said.
The suspects fled in different get-away cars and no injuries were reported.
