A concerning video of a bullying incident that happened at a school in Cape Town doing rounds on social media has sparked public outcry.
The Western Cape Department of Education stated that investigations are currently underway at Milnerton high school after the attack of a grade 10 learner.
In the video, multiple boys are seen hitting a schoolmate using bats and other objects, whilst celebrating the incident.The department will decide on disciplinary actions following investigations.
The portfolio Committee on Basic Education has requested the Department to step in to provide a report on the situation.
It is expected that parents with concerns will March to the school.
