A cash-in-transit heist occurred In Stormill, west of Johannesburg, on Main Reef Road.

It is currently unknown if anyone was hurt in the bombing of the cash van. According to witnesses on the site, The G4sh van exploded after a gang of suspects in three automobiles used one of their vehicles to crash into it.

Not far from the burnt cash van, an SUV that was one of the crooks’ vehicles caught fire as well. Three security officers in the cash van are still on the site after escaping uninjured, but the suspects were able to get away.

Since there was no money in the van when the crime occurred, unverified accounts indicate that this was a failed heist.

Investigations are still underway as Police are on the scene of the crime.
