Limpopo music community is left in shock following the news about an award-winning musician Kharishma, real name Boitumelo Thobejane, being involved in a fatal car accident in the early hours of Friday morning, October the 31st, 2025 in Polokwane.
According to reports from Sunday World and Briefly News, the tragic crash occurred at the intersection of Grobler and Magazyn Streets around 4 AM.
Kharishma was rushed to hospital and is currently receiving medical treatment, while one person — believed to be her driver — sadly lost their life at the scene.
Eyewitnesses described the incident as “horrific,” with emergency services working tirelessly to rescue those trapped in the vehicle.
The cause of the crash is under investigation, though police have confirmed that a case of culpable homicide has been opened.
Kharishma, affectionately known as the “Inama” hitmaker, rose to fame for her powerful vocals and collaborations with Limpopo’s top artists.
Fans have flooded social media with messages of prayers and support, expressing heartbreak and hoping for her speedy recovery.This is not the first time Limpopo’s entertainment industry has been hit by a tragedy.
The incident has once again raised concerns about road safety and the increasing number of accidents involving public figures in the province.
