KwaZulu-Natal police arrests a man suspected of committing a series of rapes and robberies along the North Coast.
The 36-year-old suspect is allegedly linked to nine incidents that took place between 2013, and 2016 in the areas of KwaDukuza, Tongaat, and Mandeni.According to police spokesperson, Thenjiswa Ngcobo, the suspect would overpower his victims, commit sexual assaults, and then rob them.
In one case, he attacked a woman and her mother-in-law while walking through a sugarcane field.Ngcobo said authorities have been actively searching for the suspects, and found the 36-year-old hiding in a forest near KwaDukuza.
Investigations are still ongoing, and the police continue to appeal to the public for any additional information that could aid the case.
