Bafana Bafana head coach, Hugo Broos, shares his actions on why he decided to put Mduduzi Shabalala in the field due to the injury of star player of Orlando Pirates, Relebogile Mofokeng.

Relebogile Mofokeng suffered an injury during one of his games when the team was playing against Siwelele FC. He was then replaced by Mduduzi, a Kaizer Chiefs player to keep the players moving with Carling Knockout.

“Relebogile Mofokeng because of the injury he got on Saturday is replaced by Mduduzi. I think if you see the games of Chiefs, Mduduzi is somebody that has action, he knows where to run when there is space” said the Bafana Bafana coach. On Thursday, the team will be playing against Zimbabwe and therefore, they are advised to stay in Johannesburg until the match day before they can fly to Durban.

Additionally, on Saturday they will play again against Rwanda at Mbombela.“If we can win that game against Zimbabwe we have 17 points, Nigeria if they win their two games can only have 17 points and the same for Rwanda.

And if they win their two games, Benin cannot win their two games because they play against Nigeria and Rwanda.

Therefore, the game on Friday is so important for us to win”. Broos added.
