FOUR-MONTHS-OLD SURVIVES BUS ACCIDENT

A four months old baby girl survived a deadly bus crash that happened at N1 Makhado near Limpopo. This accident claimed 43 lives, including 7 children on Sunday. The baby sustained minor scratches, according to Daily sun.

A bus that travels a long distance from Gqeberha in eastern cape to Harare, Zimbabwe, suddenly swerved-off the road and overturned killing 43 people and badly injured many others.

The crash caused the dead of seven children, including a 10-months-old girl. It is belived that most of the passangers are from Zimbabwe and were returning back home. According to The provincial government the process of identifying the victims started on Wednesday,15 october.

Transport Minister Barbara Creecy said overloading and speeding may have contributed to the bus crash. “We will be working, as the South African government closely with our neighbours and assisting our neighbours on any matter that would require assistance.”said Creecy. To recover and identify the victims the tree Authorities from three countries involved are coordinating efforts.

Medical teams are treating the 49 survivors, six(6) of whom are in critical condition. While also handling the emotional trauma of those affected. Authorities are investigating whether the baby’s parents were among the survivors.
