MULTI-AWARD-WINNING singer and songwriter, Busisiwe Twala, famously known as”Cici” is willing to support and mentor the next generation of artists, which is something she never had when she was starting her music journey.
The Ngidingwe hitmaker is on a mission to mentor Mzansi’s up-and-coming artists. “I think people who are creators and writers and actual artists gravitate towards me, and I gravitate towards them because I see something that people tend to overlook in South Africa’s real talent,” said Cici.
The 37-year-old star from Ladysmith, KZN said she wants to create the kind of support system she once wished for. ” I want to be around, help, and guide them because the game comes with a lot of pressure and people often have the wrong perception of what it really is,” she added.
She also urged young musicians to value every platform that supports their work, especially traditional media like radio because those are the people who will still play their music even after their songs are no longer trending on Tiktok.
