Marumo Gallants were playing against Kaizer Chiefs last night, (24 September 2025) at FNB stadium. They played a fair game and ended up qualifying for draw with score, 1-1.
Alex Lafitte, the coach of Marumo Gallants was very much impressed with the boys as they managed to score at least a goal to show Amakhosi that their winning days are over. Besides Amakhosi, Gallants players were able to increase their points, which was what their coach expected.
Marumo Gallants is the first team to score within five minutes while Amakhosi failed to score a penalty by its player, Serino.
“I said to the guys in the changing room at half-time that God is with you. We started the second half with greater motivation and belief” said head coach of Marumo Gallants. He kept the boys positive at all times, told them to believe in things that no one believes in.
Even though Amakhosi ended up equalising at the end, he wanted to compete against the championship-chasing teams in the league. In order to be recognized by many fans in the PSL.
Marumo Gallants team should continue doing the good work next Sunday, as they will be playing against Siwelele FC for Mangaung Derby.
