A 37-year-old young man, Bradley Grobler from Sekhukhune United, made it possible for Kaizer Chiefs to experience their first loss since the season started by scoring two goals against them, assisted by Thabang Monare, on Tuesday at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg.
The game was only five minutes in when Grobler started showing Amakhosi flames, putting his team in the lead. Kaizer Chiefs managed to fight back by equalising in the 13th minute.
Sekhukhune United went on to beat Amakhosi 3-1 in the Betway Premiership. This marked Amakhosi’s first loss of the season and the first goals they conceded in the 2025/26 campaign.
After their equaliser, Amakhosi gained confidence and showed they still had a chance to win against Babina Noko. However, when they realised they were falling behind, they made four changes to their line-up in an attempt to fight back. Unfortunately, their efforts were not enough, and they couldn’t recover before the game ended.
Sekhukhune United, on the other hand, only made a goalkeeper change but still managed to secure the victory against Amakhosi. They will look to continue their good form on Saturday when they face Golden Arrows at Peter Mokaba Stadium
