Over 300 people have been arrested for being suspected with various offenses, including, murder, assault, attempted murder & drug-related crimes.
The northern cape policer authorities conducted legal inspections in various places like scrapyards, second-hand goods dealers, liquor outlets, & farms. And amongst this inspection they closed almost 39 unlicensed liquor stores due to non compliance.
“During roadblocks at vehicle checkpoints, law enforcement apprehended 10 perpetrators for driving under the influence of alcohol. Driving under influence of alcohol, speeding and other traffic related offences will not be tolerated,” says Provincial Police Spokesperson, Cherelle Ehlers.
